The Game

Chinese checkers (also known as Sternhalma or Chinese chequers) is a popular board game originated from Germany. It is played on a star-shaped board by 2 to 6 players. The objective of the game is to move all of your pieces from your starting corner to the opposite one. To learn more about the rules of the game, click "Read rules" on the main screen.

Game Modes

The app offers both online and offline gameplay options. Online play can be enjoyed in two ways: 1. Being matched with a random opponent, and 2. Creating a private game to play with friends or joining such a game using a designated code. Offline games allow you to play against AI opponents of various difficulty levels or compete against another player locally on the same device. The game configuration allows for any number of players, such as playing against a bot or challenging up to five bots simultaneously.

Bots

Currently, three different AI bots are available: "weak bot," "medium bot," and "strong bot." The "weak bot" simulates a beginner-level player, frequently making suboptimal moves. It is an ideal choice for players who are new to the game. The "medium bot" offers a higher level of challenge, although experienced players should still find it beatable. To truly test your skills, take on the formidable "strong bot."

Profile

By clicking on the person icon located at the bottom-right corner of the main screen, you can access and customize your profile, which will be displayed to other players during online games. You have the option to enter your name and select an avatar.

Settings

To access the Settings screen, click on the gear icon on the main page. This allows you to tailor the game to your preferences. In Settings, you can adjust interface sounds volume (including button clicks, moves, and game end sounds), background music volume, choose background music tracks, select interface and game board themes, enable/disable Super Chinese Checkers mode, enable/disable "cheating" mode (which displays all possible destinations), and explore many other customizable features.
